ACORDO OFICIAL ENTRE SEGA E PLATINUM GAMES

A juntar aos anúncios dos jogos Bayonetta (PlayStation 3 e Xbox 360), Infinite Line (título provisório, Nintendo DS) e Mad World (Wii), chegou a vez da SEGA juntamente com a PlatinumGames Inc. revelar o acordo de ambos, abrindo o site oficial (japonês) do acordo, onde também disponibiliza algumas pequenas biografias de alguns membros da produtora, e o anúncio dos três jogos.
De notar que o anúncio revela que os jogos serão lançados globalmente graças à SEGA que irá publicar os três títulos e que ainda há um quarto título não revelado, em que o próprio criador do Resident Evil e co-fundador da PlatinumGames Inc., Shinji Mikami, está envolvido no projecto à frente da equipa.
SEGA announces a Platinum partnership
SEGA Europe Ltd. and SEGA© of America, Inc. today announced a worldwide partnership with PlatinumGames Inc., the development studio recently formed by the team behind some of the most successful franchises in the video game industry. Under the agreement, PlatinumGames will develop three ground-breaking new SEGA titles – MADWORLD™, Infinite Line™ and Bayonetta™ – covering a variety of game genres with innovative design concepts that explore the depths of today's best-selling platforms. A soon-to-be-announced fourth title, being directed by legendary gaming icon Shinji Mikami, is also part of the agreement.

MADWORLD is an inventive hyper-violent third-person action game with a unique monochromatic black and white style depicting an incredibly sharp backdrop that straddles graphic novels and 3D worlds.
Directed by Devil May Cry creator Hideki Kamiya, Bayonetta pushes the limits of the action genre, bringing to life its fast-paced, dynamic climax combat that takes place in stages that are a veritable theme park of exciting attractions.
Releasing in 2009, Infinite Line (working title) is an RPG that takes place in outer space that features a cast of over 200 characters and gives players the ability to take control, build, outfit and customize more than 150 spaceships.

Each of the 150 types of battleships available within the game can be customized to the player's exact specifications and then used on a journey where they will meet over 200 compelling characters.
